Agustin Muriago


Frequently performing in solo, chamber, and concerto settings, pianist Agustin Muriago has played in venues such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center.

His repertoire ranges from standard piano works to contemporary music premieres, with an emphasis on Spanish and Latin American music. He has recorded for Acte Préalable, Radium Recordings, Albany Records, and for NPR affiliates. His latest recording, “SUR” (Albany Records) features music from his native Argentina and is available on all major streaming platforms.

He has offered recitals, lectures, and master classes at The Juilliard School, New York University, the Catholic University of America, the University of Chile, the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in Beijing, and at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

Muriago holds a doctoral degree in piano performance from The Hartt School, and additional degrees in piano performance from New York University and Rowan University. He has held teaching positions at Kansas State University, The Hartt School Community Division, and New York University. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Keyboard Skills at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
