Today Eleonora Karpukhova is recognized as a benchmark icon not only on the Russian piano scene, but especially worldwide. Its numerous denominations and laurels have designated it a recognition of international prestige in the field of the most important auditoriums in the world. Eleonora has received different distinctions such as for example the Second Prize in the “José Vianna da Motta” International Piano Competition in Lisbon, Portugal; the First Prize and a Special Mention at the 29th International Piano Competition “Dr. Luis Sigall” of Viña del Mar in Chile, the Second Prize of the 18th “Varallo Sessia” International Piano Competition in Italy; Second Prize at the Zagreb “Zlatko Grgosevich” International Piano Competition in Croatia among other distinguished recognitions.
She graduates cum laude at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow under the guidance of the famous Russian pianists Valery Kastelsky and Mikhail Voskressensky.
Eleonora Karpukhova is the founder and promoter of the International Music Festival "Rachmaninov Fest" in Moscow, born in its first edition in 2013 on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the composer's birth.
Karpukhova has played in the most prestigious concert halls in Russia. She has covered wide world geography, playing in Ukraine, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany, Austria, Chile, Portugal and the United States. Rachmaninov’s Concert Hall, the Chamber Hall and Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow; also the Sala Cartot de Paris in France; the Kleiner Konzertsaal of Gasteig in Munich in Germany; “Gil Vicente” Theater in Coimbra, Fundacao Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, Portugal; Aula Magna Theater at the Federico Santa María Technical University in Valparaíso, Regional Theater del Maule in Talca, Regional Theater in Temuco,San Sebastián University Theater in Santiago in Chile. Likewise, Eleonora is regularly invited to the concert program of the Frye Art Museum and the "Benaroya Hall" in Seattle in the USA; to name a few of them among many other audiences.
