Jeewon Park

Pianist and chamber musician, Jeewon Park is currently a professor at Sangmyung University in Seoul, Korea.
A native of Seoul, Korea, Jeewon Park received her Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, Graduate Performance Diploma, and Doctor of Musical Arts from Peabody Conservatory of Music in the United States. During her studies in the United States, she was winner of the Baltimore Music Club Competition and Mu Phi Epsilon Scholarship Competition.

After finishing her studies in 2002, she returned to Korea where she has led an active and successful career in music, both as educator and pianist. She is also actively involved in chamber music recitals as well as solo recitals. She performed as a soloist with the Korean Chamber Orchestra, Premiere Philharmonic Orchestra, Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul String Ensemble, Gurisi Orchestra, Daegu Strings Symphony Orchestra, An die Musik Philharmonia, Sangmyung Concert Orchestra, Sangmyung Wind Orchestra and Krasnoyark National Theatre Orchestra in Korea, Allgaeu Sinfonietta in Germany, Sttutgart String Quartet in Hungary, the Russia Symphony Orchestra in Russia and Alicante Symphony Orchestra and Brunesis Virtuosi Orchestra in Italy. Ms. Park was also invited by the Korean Embassy in Finland to give a piano recital at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. She continues to perform in a diverse range of ensembles with various international artists in the U. S. and Europe. Most recently, she has performed the complete Beethoven compositions for Piano and Cello at Kumho Art Hall and ten Sonatas for Piano and Violin in a series of concerts given at the Seoul Arts Center in Korea. Recently, She gave a series of solo recitals which consisted of contemporary music. In addition, She has embarked on completing the 32 Piano Sonatas and 9 Symphony arrangement. Ms. Park, with her students, also volunteers her musical talents by regularly holding concerts for cancer patients at the Seoul National University Hospital as well as participating in various other benefit concerts to bring hope to those in need through music.

She joined the Euroasia Music Festival 2009 as a faculty member in Korea and was invited to teach and perform as a faculty member at Euro Music Festival in Austria (2010) and in Germany (2011, 2012, 2013), Musicfestperusia in Italy (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and Pyungchang Special Music & Arts Festival (2017, 2018). Ms. Park is also active as jury member of many competitions in Korea and her students have won in many competitions in Korea.
