
Elise Richard, Canadian pianist, owns an Artist Diploma with high distinction from the Cleveland Institute of Music in the United-States where she got full scholarship to study under Vitya Vronsky-Babin and Sergei Babayan. In Cleveland, she had the privilege to play for artists such as Leon Fleischer, Jerome Lowenthal, Yoyo Ma, Emanuel Ax, Isaac Stern among others. Previously she graduated from the Montreal Conservatory of music. She performed many times in the United States, Canada, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, as soloist, chamber musician and collaborator. She participated at the Domaine Forget International Music Festival for more than 20 years. She recorded for Radio-Canada, Radio-France, Cleveland and New-York radio stations. She is a renowned piano teacher in Montreal since many years, where her students are noticed for the quality of their playing. She has been on juries for many competitions and piano exams in Canada. She loves solo, but also chamber music and collaboration. She played with many artists, such as Philippe Muller, Harold Robinson, Antonio Lisy, Martin Beaver, among others. She is a very appreciated colleague. Elise Richard was invited to teach in Italy at the Talent Summer Courses and Festival in Brescia, summer 2022 to give master classes. She also performed the world premiere and recorded the piano sonata, “Cold Winter”, written for her by the Italian composer Paolo Pandolfo, in Italy, august 2022. Mrs. Richard is known for her beautiful colored sound.
