Hyesoo Juan, a pianist representing the next generation of Korean musicians, has performed at recitals and concerts since 2000.
She is recognized as ‘a performer who has powerful skill and high concentration’ as well as ‘a performer with the warmth of Russian pianism.’
She graduated from Sunhwa Art High School, and Sookmyung Women’s University as an honors student.
Juan earned her master’s and doctor’s degrees at Saint Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia and won a scholarship from Sookmyung Women’s University. Juan is the prize winner at Samik National Music Competition in Korea, DobrichAlbena International Competition in Bulgaria, and IBLA International Competition in Italy.
She has performed with St. Petersburg National Academic Philharmonic, Khabarovsk National Symphony, Stuttgart Pegasos String Quartet, Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra, and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also participated in various concerts sponsored by Iwon Culture Center, Korea Beethoven Association, International Piano Music Association, and Korea Music Professors Association. Hyesoo Juan is now teaching students as a professor at Sookmyung Women’s University and was invited as a judge to the 4th Young Musician Performance International Competition and 7th Серебря ова қ International Competition.
